Mam Nature Swiss Essential Plus whole-house water filtration system

Source: Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN/BAFU)

Federal and cantonal authorities monitor PFAS in Swiss waters. Your local water supplier or cantonal laboratory is the right source for the latest result at your address; a compliant supply does not mean every catchment has the same PFAS profile. View the federal PFAS information

Essential Plus: the primary whole-house PFAS system

The Swiss Water Cartridge combines protein fibres developed with ETH Zurich and activated carbon. The October 2025 ETH Zurich report records the exact single-pass results below for the listed PFAS under controlled test conditions.

Essential Plus adds a particle pre-filter ahead of the Swiss Water Cartridge and installs on the main water line, treating water for the kitchen, bathrooms and appliances. It is rated for up to 2,000 litres per hour and a cartridge capacity of up to 150 m³.

Frequently asked questions

Does my tap water contain PFAS?

PFAS levels vary by catchment. Ask your water supplier or cantonal laboratory for the latest analysis for your municipality; laboratory testing is the only way to confirm the result at a specific property.

Which PFAS are supported by the report?

The report lists PFOA, PFOS, PFBA, PFHxA, PFHpA, PFBS and PFHxS. This page limits its filtration claims to those named compounds and results.

Why is Essential Plus the recommended system?

It combines the Swiss Water Cartridge with an upstream particle filter, protecting the fine-filter stage while treating the main water line for the whole home.

How long does the cartridge last?

The cartridge is rated for up to 150 m³, typically around one year for a household with average consumption. Actual life depends on local water conditions and use.

Where can I see the current price?
